Heating, temperatures and the app!
The DaVinci is a dry herb conduction vaporizer. Using conduction heating means that the heating element works like a stove. The element is located just below the chamber to ensure the chamber doesn’t melt and to make sure combustion doesn’t occur. Employing conduction methods allows for the herb to cook evenly and produce smooth, tasty and dense vaporizer!
The DaVinci features a cool app that sports pre-programmed heating modes. Although pre-programmed they can be completely customized. The ‘Smart-Paths’ all start at as selected temperature and gradually increase every 10 minutes. Within the app there is also a Precision Mode and a Boost Mode. Precision Mode allows you to choose a temperature in which the IQ will hold for a 10-minute session without increasing or decreasing. You change this at any time also. Boost Mode can be accessed by holding down the top button, this will activate the heater to its full potential. The internal heater will now work its way up to the max temp of 430, granted you continue to hold the top button down. This will you allow you to get really heavy and tasty vapor. *It should be noted that the IQ has an auto-shutoff of 10 minutes* You can also access the temperature, battery life, stealth mode and so much more. The app is not necessary, but it does unlock its full potential.
Discreet and portable?
Once you see the DaVinci, you will be stunned by the size. The DaVinci stands at 4.25” tall, 3.54” wide and about .94” deep. The DaVinci can be concealed by your grip during usage for complete discretion. The unit can also be stored in a pocket or bag pack. Compared to a Pax 3, the DaVinci is smaller.
The IQ weighs approximately 145 grams which is heavy for a vaporizer. But the robust build quality is a testament to the weight. Once you get your hands on the DaVinci, you’ll understand what I mean! If you’re quite the clumsy dry herbs enthusiast, there’s no need to stress about dropping this thing; the strong build can withstand anything! This is no invitation to throw your vaporizer on the floor, don’t do that; the DaVinci can hold a few bumps here and there. The IQ also exhibits a brushed aluminum exterior that comes in an array of colors including; blue, olive green, stealth black and gunmetal. (literally just black, see what I mean by jargon?!)
Battery life
The battery is one of the most important aspects of a vaporizer because it is the source of power that fuels the vaporizer. The DaVinci comes with one replaceable/rechargeable 18650 battery. The battery is chargeable through a micro-USB and lasts for 70-90 minutes after a full charge of 2-3 hours. The IQ’s battery life is where it falls down. It takes a substantial amount of time to charge, however, you can combat this - if you purchase an extra battery! You can get an extra battery for your DaVinci IQ on our store.
